The Moritzburg Castle, located in the state of Saxony, Germany. Originally built in 1542 as a Hunting lodge for Moritz, Duke of Saxony. The beautifully located Castle is near the city of Dresden and Meissen and sure worthwhile a visit. A French style Park was added in 1728. The Moritzburg is also called a 'Water Castle' but the surrounding lake is artificial.

Like in fairy tales. A must for fans. Nice structure and a great impression. A trip for the whole family. Parking was a real challenge. The whole place was overcrowded during our visit (December). Parking was then only possible with waiting time and exorbitant fees.

Three hazelnuts for cinderella Tour at the time of everything except the throne room. The castle itself is very beautiful. All around very clean everything laid out. Inside only a few opportunities to visit. Price reasonable. Sufficient parking spaces available. Walk to the castle approx. 2-5 minutes. Shop very small and few offers.

Not just beautiful at Christmas time!

Nice ambience, guess it's more beautiful in either summer or deep deep winter with all the snow. But it's also worth a visit during autumn to stroll around the huge forest park.

The castle and the gardens and grounds around are always worth a trip. Parking spaces in the immediate vicinity during peak visitor hours are rare. Walks to the animal enclosure, pheasant castle or the lighthouse are easy to explore. I always enjoy being here.

Moritzburg is always worth a visit. This time we hiked to the Fasanenschlößchen (approx. 1 hour for the way there and back) and did a tour of the Moritzburg stud. It is essential to register by phone in advance for the tour. A nice autumn excursion that I would happily recommend.

As always, very busy, but if you don't want to park directly in town, there is always a parking space! The carriage rides are recommended, but ask for the price! The half an hour drive fluctuated between 30 and 40 €!

Wonderful environment. If you go inside, I definitely recommend an audio guide. It doesn't make sense without him. Too bad only one floor is accessible. Otherwise very nice. I recommend.
Super beautiful place to visit can find large parking lots

Very well kept, perfect spot for a long walk. Castle centered in the middle of the lake makes it perfect for pictures on all sides.

A beautifully located castle and an unexpected childhood journey to "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella". Many small and large "ladies" tried on the shoe on the stairs. Small exhibition on history, unfortunately, the one on film was closed. The admission price of 8 euros for adults and 1 euros for children is reasonable. Toilets are clean and well maintained. Parking in front of the castle is sufficient. The castle garden is freely accessible and can also be explored without a visit to the castle.

There isn't much to see inside the castle and the decorations are horrible. The building itself its beautiful.

We had the tour from the basement to the roof. Was very interesting and fun. We reserve the rest of the castle for the next time because we unfortunately didn't have time. Therefore only four out of five stars. Toilet facility very clean. Nice and helpful staff! Always happy!

Moritzburg is just worth seeing. You can hike there for hours and much more! I love this place and go there several times a year.

Beautiful castle, well worth a visit just north of Dresden. Entrance within 8 €, gardens around it are freely accessible. Gets a good idea of how Furst August der Starke lived. Unprecedented wealth and pleasure.
